(webstagram) Dolphins show 🐬🐬🐬at San Benedicto Island in Revillagigedo Islands.
Revillagigedo islands are a group of four volcanic islands in the Pacific Ocean, known for their unique ecosystem. In July 2016, the Revillagigedo Archipelago were inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and in November 2017 they were declared to be a marine reserve and a national park of Mexico. This protected area covers 57,000 square miles or 150,000 square kilometers around the islands, and bans fishing, mining, and tourism development in the protected area and on the islands.
The seas surrounding the islands are popular with scuba divers due to a variety of marine life such as bait ball, schooling hammerheads and silky sharks, plus 8 other species of sharks, bottlenose dolphins and giant Pacific manta rays that consistently hang out with divers at certain dive sites, large schools of pelagic fish, and, in the archipelago is also a part of wintering grounds for humpback whales in North Pacific. 📷 Photo credit by 刘岩, a super lady with kindest heart! 💕 ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
